The first installment of the series to use full 3D movement, and beautiful backgrounds and enviroments for the PS1. Thought to be the game to make RPG mainstream. It entails the adventure of Cloud and his party.

The first installment in the series to consistently use realistically proportioned characters. FFVIII was more futuristic than its older counterparts, and entailed the story of Squall and company versus the time witch Ultimecia.

The last installment of Final Fantasy on the Playstation, FFIX went back to the roots of Final Fantasy, in terms of graphic style, jobs and characters, but offered an expansive storyline, and placed twists on character skills and growth. It follows the story of Zidane and company against Kuja.

The first FF to be released on PS2, also the first to have voice acting, this game set a new standard in Final Fantasy. It had stunning graphics and an amazing storyline for its time. It follows the story of Tidus and company going against Sin and many other evil doers.

The last installment of the main series on PS2, it broke many traditions of Final Fantasy, such as the battle screens and random battles. It also recieve a perfect score from the Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu. It has beautiful graphics, a broad storyline, and is one of the best FF games to date. It follows the story of Vaan and company.

Made by Disney and Square-Enix, Kingdom Hearts takes characters from Disney and Final Fantasy, then places them all in a gigantic storyline. The original follows the story of Sora, a kid from Destiny Island, who gets caught up in a fight for "Kingdom Hearts"
